Marca como siempre con el ciclismo. En los 90, era una alegría bajar al kiosko después de un triunfo de Miguel Indurain en el Tour de Francia para ver con que portada nos deleitaban.
Ahora con Armstrong tienen el obsequio de deleitarnos con un suculento monográfico. No se lo pierdan los amantes del ciclismo y admiradores de las proezas del ciclista tejano. Pinchais en monográfico y vais a especiales (Armstrong gana su séptimo Tour) .
Por otra parte, según una encuesta hecha a los americanos, Armstrong supera la popularidad de Michael Jordan.

Los americanos son gente especial. Y las encuestas nunca son de fiar. Como decía mi maestro: "Antes había verdades y mentiras; ahora hay verdades, mentiras y estadísticas".
Una encuesta realizada tras la emisión de un programa de televisión no es que sea muy convincente(lo dice en la noticia que enlazas). Piensa en que el ciclismo no es un deporte de masas en los USA.
Sería interesante medir la popularidad de Armstrong dentro de cinco años. Mira la lista y verás que hay deportistas retirados hace años y años por encima (mira las cifras también) de algunos en activo, como por ejemplo el 3º, el 4º y el 5º. John Elway y Carl Lewis se retiraron ayer, como quien dice; Armstrong estará dentro de tres años por debajo de éstos.

Estoy gafando a todos los deportistas que aparecen en este blog. Después de Albert Riera le ha tocado a Lance. Pero la foto de Juanfran no señores, no la vereis no.
Sobre el escándalo Lance Armstrong. La importancia de la noticia se la ha dado Jean Marie Leblanc, director del Tour de Francia. Pero si en el 1999 donde no se podia detectar EPO y utilizas esta sustancia prohibida, tampoco creo que sea tan grave, es como copiar en un examen sin profesor. Yo no vi la subida a Sestrieres del 99 pero en las imágenes que se han pasado estos dias, se ve a Escartín aguantando el último. Joder, con Miguelón no le aguantaba ni los 3 primeros km del último puerto. Qué raro que en su último Tour (creo que fue el último) diera ese rendimiento. Iria dopadísimo el ciclista maño, y después porque no le quería ningún equipo importante? Es otro misterio pero supongo que no interesa tanto a los medios. A estas alturas, los pocos que seguimos algo (yo) o mucho el ciclismo ya no debemos de estar a la espera de si éste se dopa o no. A partir del Tour de Pantani todo cambió y hay que estar agradecidos que este deporte haya sobrevivido después de ese toque casi mortal.
La verdad que remover estas cosas seis años después es muy poco ético y me sorprende las declaraciones del director del Tour.
